Thread Lift Recovery: Everything You Need to Know
Thread lifting is one of Seoul’s most popular non-surgical facial lifting treatments. Post-procedure, many patients are unsure what’s normal and what isn’t. Here’s Rappoel’s complete week-by-week guide to thread lift recovery.
Rappoel Dermatology Clinic uses the APTOS thread lift system (certified Top 10 globally, Q1 2026). Our physicians have extensive thread lift experience and provide full post-procedure education and remote follow-up support via WeChat/LINE.

Normal reactions: Threads anchor in position; tightening and lifting effect becomes noticeably clear. Mild aching may occur.
Care: Normal exercise can resume. Avoid forceful facial impact. Contact clinic if unusual pain or marked asymmetry persists.
Common Post-Thread Lift Questions
When can I wash my face? Gently wash with lukewarm water or mild cleanser after 24 hours. Avoid scrubbing.
When can I wear makeup? 48–72 hours post-procedure. Avoid direct application over entry points until healed.
Can I go outside? Yes, but use a mask to cover swelling areas for the first 3 days; avoid direct sun exposure.
What sleeping position? Sleep on your back for the first 1–2 weeks; avoid side-sleeping or face-down to prevent pressure on thread-placement areas.
